Privacy and analytics

Use this page to turn analytics and advertising measurement on or off, or to download a copy of your workspace’s configuration. Both live under Settings → Privacy in the web app. The Privacy Policy describes what we collect, why, who receives it, how long we keep it, and how to make a privacy request.

Turn analytics and advertising measurement on or off

Open Analytics and advertising measurement and review the state shown for this browser. What is collected? expands the explanation. Switch it off to stop product analytics in this browser and advertising measurement for your account, or on to allow them.

Product analytics shows us how the site and the app are used, and Amplitude processes it for us. Advertising measurement tells Reddit which of our ads led to sign-ups, trials, purchases, and other milestones, so we can see which ads work. In regions where the law requires consent, both start only after you allow them; elsewhere they are on until you turn them off.

One answer covers both product analytics and advertising measurement, and it is shared by code-config.com and the web app in the same browser: an answer on either site applies on both, and turning it off on either applies on both from the next page you load. The answer is kept for 12 months (some browsers, such as Safari, keep it for 7 days). A different computer, browser, or private window keeps its own answer. On code-config.com and in the docs, Cookie preferences in the footer changes the same answer, and the Privacy Policy has a button that turns both off.

Download your workspace configuration

In Settings → Privacy → Data export, review Review export contents, then choose Download JSON for the workspace.

The export includes workspace details, toolkit definitions, MCP definitions, and repository details. It excludes credential values, access tokens, provider logins, credential-storage locations, readable local paths, and ordinary local folder contents.

This is a configuration export, not a backup of everything on your computers. It does not transfer credentials or clone project repositories.

Check: confirm a JSON file was downloaded and contains the workspace configuration you expected. Store it appropriately; configuration metadata can still reveal information about your work.

What stays on your computer

Readable project locations and ordinary project files remain on their computer. Toolkit content and metadata move through the product’s sync and through sharing you start yourself. Credential storage and permissions explains local values, and Share your toolkit explains sharing.

Ask about or delete your account data

You can delete your account at any time from Settings in the app. For other account-data questions, contact hello@code-config.com using the process described in the Privacy Policy. Do not include credentials in a support message.
