Manage your computers
Every computer you connect gets a row in Settings → Computers in the web app. Check here when a launch from the web app doesn’t open, when you can’t tell which “MacBook” is which, or when you’ve replaced a computer.
For example, you send Plantpal to your desktop from the web app and nothing opens. The desktop’s row shows it isn’t connected right now, so the computer is asleep or Code Config isn’t running there. Wake it up or open Code Config, and the launch can go through.
Workspace owners and admins can rename and disconnect computers. Members can see the list and each computer’s status.
Connect a new computer
Section titled “Connect a new computer”Choose Connect computer, then finish connecting on that computer. A computer that is already connected keeps its connection; you don’t need to connect it again just to refresh its status.
A new computer starts empty. Check its connection and sync status after it connects; it doesn’t receive everything the moment it joins.
Give a computer a clear name
Section titled “Give a computer a clear name”Why: names like Work laptop and Home desktop make it obvious where a launch will open.
Open the computer’s row and choose Rename. Renaming doesn’t change anything on the computer itself.
Disconnect a computer you no longer use
Section titled “Disconnect a computer you no longer use”Why: a sold, lost, or replaced computer shouldn’t keep receiving your toolkits or launch requests.
From the web app: open the computer’s row and choose Disconnect computer. A short countdown starts; choose Remove now to finish straight away, or Cancel to keep it connected. The computer stops syncing and launching the next time it contacts Code Config.
On the computer itself: open Code Config → Settings → Sign out and confirm. You can connect again later with a new sign-in link.
Disconnecting isn’t a remote wipe. Files and keys already on that computer stay there; remove them on the computer itself if you need to.
A replacement computer, or one you connect again from scratch, can show up as a new row. Old rows stay in the list until you disconnect them.
What the columns mean

| Connection | Whether the computer is talking to Code Config right now: Online, a status showing it isn’t, or Not reported when Code Config couldn’t confirm either way. |
| Agent version | The version of Code Config on that computer, and whether it’s up to date: Current, Update available, Update required, or Newer than latest. |
| Projects | The projects connected on that computer. |
Open a row for more: the operating system, when the computer was connected, when it was last used, and which coding apps Code Config found on it.
Update required means that computer’s Code Config is too old to keep working; update it there. A connected computer can be asleep, so a status that isn’t Online is often nothing to fix.
Check it worked
Section titled “Check it worked”- After a rename, the new name shows in the list.
- After a disconnect, the row shows Removed; close it and the row is gone.
