Keyboard shortcuts

The web app and the desktop app each show their keys where you use them: the command palette prints its own along the bottom, and each step of a launch in the desktop app prints its own too.

In the web app

Two work anywhere:

Keys	What happens
⌘K on a Mac, Ctrl K elsewhere	Opens the command palette. The same keys close it again.
Esc	Closes the dialog or panel on top.

Inside the command palette

Keys	What happens
↑ ↓	Move down and up the results.
Enter	Opens the highlighted result.
Tab	Searches inside the highlighted repository. Rows that can do this print a ⇥ Open chip.
Esc	Leaves the repository you opened, and goes back to the mixed results. From there it closes the palette.

In a search box on a list

Projects, My toolkits, Community, and Tool Builder → Sources all take the same two:

Keys	What happens
Enter	Runs the search.
Esc	Clears it.

In the toolkit box when you launch

Keys	What happens
↑ ↓	Move through the toolkits.
Enter	Takes the highlighted one.
Esc	Closes the list and clears what you typed.

In Code Config, the desktop app

Each step of a launch prints the keys it takes along the bottom of the window.

Keys	What happens
↑ ↓	Move through the rows. These work while the cursor is still in the search box, so you can type and then move.
← →	Switch between the two columns on the coding-app step. That step is the only one with two.
Enter	Takes the highlighted row: select, continue, or launch, depending on the step.
Esc	Goes back a step.
/	Puts the cursor in the search box. The project step is the one with a search box, and it prints a / chip.
⌘1 to ⌘9 on a Mac, Ctrl 1 to Ctrl 9 elsewhere	Picks a coding app by the number printed on its tile.

Inside a text field the field keeps its own keys: ↑ and ↓ still move the rows, and Esc and / belong to what you are typing.

While the account form is open it owns the keyboard, and none of the above applies until you are through it.

Signing in

Keys	What happens
Esc	Cancels the sign-in. The screen says so while it waits.

Settings

Keys	What happens
Esc	Backs out of the sign-out confirmation.
